About

The NYU Shanghai Behavioral and Experimental Economics Laboratory (SHBEEL) is an interdisciplinary research center dedicated to the study of economic decision making and strategic interaction. SHBEEL’s research activities support research, teaching, and policy applications involving controlled experiments conducted by researchers in economics, neuroscience, political science, and management. One of the primary objectives of the laboratory is to enhance students and faculty familiarity with laboratory-based, computerized experimental methods for testing social science theories and for using these techniques to further their own research.

SHBEEL provides an collaborative environment for members of the NYU-Shanghai community and researchers based at local universities to conduct innovative social science research. In addition, the laboratory provides advanced technological resources for researchers interested in conducting behavioral and experimental economic studies in the field.
