Recitation 10: Image & Video
In this recitation, I explored using physical controllers to modify the way in which media is being displayed.
With the help of the experience in the past classes, I managed to build the arduino circuit first.
I reviewed the slides and found a way to control the speed of my video. I choose one of my recitation videos because it came in handy. Then I created a Processing sketch that controlled one of my recitation videos by manipulating that media’s attributes.
Then I use the twister as the Arduino physical controller. For the serial communication, I used the examples of the SerialRecord library as a starting point, but then I encountered several problems and could not find the connection between Arduino and processing. Isa helped me and I finally was able to finish the code.
After finishing this whole process, I get to know how to connect processing to Arduino and send messages to it, which I think will be very helpful to my final project.
Here’s the video of my exercise in action!
