To help students get prepared for digital learning, Research and Instructional Technology Services (RITS) has created this dedicated toolkits site.
This site would lead you to explore the tools you might use during the digital learning phase.
- NYU LMS (Brightspace) – NYU Brightspace is the learning management system NYU uses. You would find your learning materials and activities on brightspace.nyu.edu. However, if you cannot find the course site associated with a course you enrolled in Albert, don’t panic, follow the checklist here to figure it out.
- NYU Zoom – NYU Zoom is the tool used for synchronous sessions or office hours. Session links can be found on your course site(NYU Classes/Brightspace), other platforms your instructors use to share learning content, or direct e-mails from your professor.
- VoiceThread – VoiceThread is a multiple media discussion tool that may be used by the instructor to deliver lectures or distribute assignments. Link to VoiceThread is only available on your Brightspace course site.
- NYU Stream – NYU Stream is a streaming service used for sharing media. You can view lectures your professor shared on NYU stream by visiting Media Gallery in NYU Brightspace. Your professor may also ask you to submit your own video as part of the assignment to NYU Stream.
