This net art website, called “Indirect Flights”, was created by Joe Hamilton in 2015. It consists of various images of aerial views of places on the globe all collaged together in different ways (from shape to zoom, etc). I really enjoyed this piece for the aesthetic, as well as its interactivity and how it allowed me to move around the site and see all of the different images Hamilton included!
This is what the site looks like! The images are all very different, going from natural scenes with water and greenery to industrial places with rusty metal and chain-link fences (this contrast is also really cool!)
Hamilton also included an option for certain sites on the website, where the user is directed to if they select one of the options from the menu (pictured above). This is a cool option for people who might want more direction in their exploration!!
