Week 6: Spot proposal for VR film shooting in Shanghai – Alex Wang

Century Avenue:

I think century avenue would be a great choice for a video shoot for multiple reasons:

  1.  It is really close to campus, very convenient spot considering transportation
  2. it is a very busy place, cars and passengers move in and out at a very fast pace
  3. really pretty at night, when street lights and buildings lit up
  4. there are elderly people who regularly dances in public

This idea first occurred to me when I was walking to campus from the subway, I was surrounded by a whole group of dancers who are dancing in unison. As I was walking by I thought this could be great if it is experienced in VR because it accurately captures the atmosphere of what it is like on century avenue.

Science and technology museum:

The other proposal I would like to make is one of the subway exits near science and technology museum. It shares a similar feeling to century avenue, both with a lot of lights at night and also regularly holds a group of people. unlike the elderly dancers on century avenue, there is a skateboarding community right outside the science and technology museum, I think this could also be an interesting scene to capture in VR.
