Swarm Final Project Proposal:
For my final project, I will be working with Diana, Gabi, and Kevin, to make a project with swarm robotics. Our swarm will work as follows:
- It will detect the presence of an intruder.
- The closest bot will push it out of the territory.
- If the robot is not strong enough to do it alone, subsequent bots will join to help until the intruder is removed.
In this manner, will will mimic the biological behavior of territorialism: specifically, when one species of animal tries to protect its territory from an invading species. While several species exhibit such a behavior, as our project develops, we will finalize which animal we want our swarm to resemble in particular.
