We saw some of these cute comics through instagram and was able to develop our storyline, style, and details through this.
Storyline:
Since it has only been three weeks since school has started and we already felt stressed out, we thought that an interactive comic that would help with stress relief would be a great idea. We decided to create a “choose your own story” plot line where our main character will play through a day at NYU Shanghai, moving through the AB, waking up to catch the shuttle, and more. Throughout the story, we wanted to keep it lighthearted and fun and also wanted to include puns and jokes that the user will be able to uncover through interacting with the actual comic. At the end of the story, we were thinking about having a grade or report card that is a result of the choices the user picked throughout the journey. Here is a short possible example:
Execution:
We are thinking about creating some simply character using Illustrator and adding color to the comic as well to keep it dynamic and fun.
