Anticipations and Interests
Being an IMA graduate I should be pretty familiar with p5 and Javascript, however, most of my work is not related to coding and I became quite rusty with my coding skills. I hope during ICM I could pick up these skills and strengthen them to create generative art. I have also taken Professor Shiffman’s Intro to Machine Learning class during IMA and I am excited to use ml5 in my projects.
Self-Portrait
My self-portrait assignment is inspired by the website logo I drew for my portfolio website. The drawing itself is pretty simple and easy to code. All I used were basic shapes and lines. The curves were made with beginShape(), curveVertex(), and endShape() functions. It was pretty hard to predict the anchor points of the curves, and I believe there are better and more efficient ways to draw curves on p5js.
