Week 1: Design
Requirements
- Material available: 40 ⨉ 20 cm. (You may use more with permission of instructor.)
- Plywood thickness: 18 mm/9 mm
- End mill diameter: 6.35 mm
- Must contain 1 joined/slotted part
– An Adobe Illustrator file, suitable for fabrication. (You may use a different tool that produces vector graphics or can be used to create G-Code. Ask first.)
List of Items and Measurements:
The items I have that the stand is designed to hold or support are all accessories/jewelry. I need to focus on customizing the stand for the two watches and the wallet. Everything else can easily fit on the stand.
- Two Watches ( watch face diameter: 45 mm, height when the clasp is folded: 53 mm) (watch face diameter: 45 mm, height adjustable)
- Wallet ( width: 70 mm, length: 99 mm, thickness: 13 mm)
- Two Key chains ( width: 58 mm, length: 14o mm, thickness: 14 mm)
- Bracelets ( diameter: 68 mm, length: 14o mm, thickness: 18.5 mm)
- Rings ( diameter: 24 mm, thickness: 9 mm)
- Necklaces ( diameter: 62 mm, length: 300 mm, thickness: 5 mm)
- Sachet ( diameter: 43 mm, length: 350 mm, thickness: 3.5 mm)

Finishing Proposal
If I don’t think I would paint the stand. Since the design has an organic tree structure, I would leave it in the natural wood color. However, if I have enough time I would consider painting the stand. There would be no hardware or decoration that I would like to permanently attach to the stand.

After talking to Andy, we decided to use a thinner 9mm plywood instead of 18mm for the tree, so it can maintain its shape from viewing in other directions. be easily assembled
Since my project has a more organic design, I spent a huge amount of time creating this vector-based graph. I need to ensure that the
