Choose a theme or a template

Option 1 (Theme) is recommended if you would like to build a site from scratch by choosing a theme and plugins as a starting point.

Option 2 (Template) is recommended if your program requires you to use it’s exclusive school templates or if you want to use any of the general templates created by the WP team. Templates are pre-populated with commonly used features and are best if you don’t want to start a site from scratch.
