They say you die
the last time anyone
speaks your name.
I will be anonymous.
I will live nameless.
I will live forever.
Without a name, I can never die.
Without a name, will I ever live?
Jimmy Krause is a senior at the NYU School of Professional Studies. He studies history but has devoted the past two years to all forms of creative writing. He currently teaches music and writing to other veterans in hopes they will find it as cathartic and healing as he has.
