a loud neighborhood
where people spill vomit
in the form of loud music
right in front of my building
Not so sick of
a breeze blanketed by tranquility
thoughts d r i f t i n g
eyelids so heavy like
weights in my mind
It so happens I am so sick of…
the only acceptance of hypocrisy
to say
turn it down
! ! !
while they stare at me like gargoyles
trying to be respectful
but knowing they are not
Not so sick of
being on the blue
d r i f t i n g
as the sun heats my face
while it peeks through the branches
It so happens I am so sick of…
having to be on all the time
the switch broken
can’t turn off
feeling like electric shock has
taken over my mind
leading me captive to others
And when I unplug I am interrupted
in my musings in my thoughts in myself
I absolutely am so sick of having something to do
every single day
at times confused like an ignorant child
who doesn’t know any better
I wish I had my degree already
I am not so sick of
books that carry me to faraway lands
I am so sick of living in New York City
people constantly
like animals in heat
Dirt, trains, buses tootighttomovetoturntobreathe
Expensive Uber rides
the constant noise
ringing in my ear like a bullhorn that won’t stop
the people !
I am so sick of being so sick
gagging on my own reasonings
not accepting life as is
I am so sick of
being so sick
