Dr. Kate Guastaferro

Kate Guastaferro, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Associate Director of the Center for Advancement and Dissemination of Intervention Optimization (cadio) at the School of Global Public Health. An intervention scientist by training, Dr. Guastaferro’s work is devoted to the development, optimization, implementation and evaluation of effective, efficient, affordable and scalable interventions with high public health impact. Her current work is focused on the integration of intervention optimization and the prevention of child maltreatment.
Dr. Alden Lai

Dr. Alden Lai is Assistant Professor of Public Health Policy and Management at the NYU School of Global Public Health, with an affiliated faculty appointment at NYU Stern. He studies how the jobs and work environments of health care workers can be improved to increase employee outcomes (e.g., wellbeing, retention) as well as organizational performance (e.g., program implementation, patient safety). He uses theories and frameworks from psychology, organization science, and health services research in his work. Dr. Lai’s research has appeared in both management and health care journals. He currently serves on the Editorial Board of Medical Care Research and Review.
