Dr. Rozalba Gogaj

Dr. Gogaj completed her MD from Albania and is now a student of the MPH program with a concentration in Global Health. Although she enjoyed her career as a clinician, she believes that population health is equally necessary.

The field of public health creates opportunities to work towards solving problems within units as small as communities to as large as the world. Her unique career choices allowed her to work in the Juvenile Detention Center in Albania for 3 years and experienced a medical surge during her time there.

There was an incident that created a dangerous environment for the inmates and nearly 10 minors needed immediate medical attention. After the incident, the departments that were involved evaluated the incident and tried to put measures into place to prevent the occurrence of a similar incident in the future.
