Methyl Grace Barro was pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Global Health. She has participated in many emergency management positions prior to attending NYU, including Emergency Preparedness Coordinator of the Hospital Preparedness program at New York City’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
She was later promoted to the position of Environmental Health and Safety Manager but felt she needed a change which inspired her to further her education by pursuing an MPH. She believes in public health’s pivotal goal in protecting and improving the health of people and their communities, and she welcomes the dynamic challenges of working in emergency preparedness and response.
