Kenny Isufi’s THIRA on the Impacts of Monsoon Flooding in Pakistan

Kenny Isufi conducts a Threat and Hazards Assessment to demonstrate the impacts of torrential monsoon flooding on internally displaced persons and refugees in the Balochistan Region of Pakistan.

The Natural hazards describe the impact of flash flooding and torrential rains on lives and livelihoods; such as the extent of damage to livestock, crops, and the built infrastructure. The technical hazards further impact the built infrastructure by limiting access to fresh drinking water, communication, and transportation.

Human-caused hazards further perpetuates the impact of monsoon flooding through the lack of concrete efforts to mitigate climate change, land disputes, and injustices and violence toward refugees.
