Wanda Dikiy’s Case Study on the 2021 Surfside Building Collapse

On June 24, 2021, a 12-story high residential building in Surfside, Miami Beach collapsed, killing 98 residents and leaving 58 missing. The building collapsed due to a combination of issues in the building’s construction and a lack of infrastructural maintenance and repair. Jose Flores Hernandez’s Case Study on the 2022 Brooklyn Subway Shooting

On April 22, 2022, 64-year-old Frank James opened fire on an operating subway in Brooklyn. Thankfully, no individual was killed in the shooting; however, at least 23 individuals were injured, and many more suffer from the psychological trauma of this attack.
