Dr. Oscar San Román Orozco

Oscar San Roman was born and raised in Mexico and completed his medical school training to be an EMT at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro.  From a young age, he found a need and value in altruism and serving individuals and communities, which inspired and guided his professional choices.

During his career, he found the necessity in education and prevention and that encouraged him to undergo training in Search and Rescue and ultimately pursue a Master in Public Health at New York University. He completed the Advanced Certificate in Public Health Disaster Science, Policy, and Practice in 2021 and went on to work at the World Health Organization’s Pan American Health Organization as a consultant.
