Researchers at Climate Central in collaboration with Princeton University and Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany have identified the most vulnerable parts of the world to rising sea levels and used population and global elevation data to create simulations of the impacts. It is predicted that 600 million people living in 50 major coastal cities will need to develop adaptation measures to avoid the ramifications of a 3 degree Celsius increase in temperature above pre-industrial levels.
