2023 Compendium of Important Global Disaster Trends

This is a special compendium of précis by students in NYU School of Global Public Health’s Spring 2023 Global Health Disaster Preparedness & Response course. The topic of the compendium is “Global Disaster Trends 2023 Students Currently View as the Greatest Threats and Why”.

* The “climate change” category includes sea level rising, greenhouse gas emission, natural disasters, and rising temperatures. “Non-communicable diseases” include obesity, antibiotic resistance, mental health crisis, cardiovascular disease, and breast cancer disparities. “Other” include refugee crisis, literature gap, energy crisis, disaster risk exposure, and food waste.
