Examining the Impacts of Climate Change on Community & Individual Health in 8 Countries Across Africa and Asia

About the Project

NYU students Priyanka Lanka, Karina Palacio, Omary Perez, Sravanthi Rompicharla, and Yousef Elsayed examined the impact of climate change on community and individual health in the 8 countries across Africa and Asia where FXB operates programs to identify new climate and health projects and develop funding proposals for these projects. Students developed a systematized document for each country that outlines climate vulnerability, specific climate hazards, impact on health and potential interventions/activities for FXB to implement. This research helped guide FXB’s global climate change strategy.

About the Organization

“FXB International is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) with over 30 years of experience in breaking the cycle of poverty. Children’s rights are at the heart of FXB’s actions, and each of its programs is a response to the concrete implementation – in the daily lives of children – of their rights as defined by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted on November 20, 1989. FXB programs also integrate most of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to reach the 2030 agenda. 18 million adults and children have already benefited from our programs.”
