Call for Applications: Independent Postdoctoral Fellowships
The Simons Center for Computational Physical Chemistry at NYU invites applications from outstanding young scientists, who are within three years of having received their PhD, for independent three-year Simons Center Fellowships. Fellows will be selected on the basis of their exceptional accomplishments to-date, evidence of strong intellectual drive, and the promise of the research they plan to undertake in the broad areas of theoretical and computational chemistry.
Fellows are appointed for a three-year term and receive an annual stipend of $85,000, benefits, plus research and travel funds of up to $10,000, per year including up to $2000 of relocation costs.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; the deadline for the latest round is Sept 1, 2022.
Details and application instructions are available on Interfolio.
Simons Center at NYU
The Simons Foundation has established The Simons Center for Computational Physical Chemistry at New York University. The foundation will support the new center with $2 million per year for five years with the possibility of renewal for an additional five years. The new center will bring physics-based approaches to chemistry problems. Scientists at the center will develop and refine computational and mathematical tools such as machine learning to spur further advancements.
