Since the beginning of the OTD program, I have increased my knowledge through participation in advanced continuing education courses and participating in a pediatric hand therapy google group. This paper demonstrated how this advanced learning impacted my practice. It synthesized the advanced knowledge that I needed to consider different orthosis materials based upon the developing pediatric musculoskeletal system.
