David Krauss

 

David (Dave) Krauss is a practicing attorney and is a legal analyst affiliated with RiskEcon® Lab for Decision Metrics @ Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences NYU. He is an avid student of the institutional and legal analysis of social choice and common pool resources, with a strong commitment to the study of social and environmental justice, Dave’s research focuses on how law and economics intersect with environmental liability and corporate financial distress solvency. He is also an Attorney at Everytown for Gun Safety.

Dave received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan. After spending the first few years of his legal career at a major law firm focusing on complex litigation and white-collar defense, Dave is committed to employing his legal skills and trial experience to further investigate issues most relevant to fundamental social, political and economic principles underlying the legislative and judicial process, in particular the application of text analysis and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to the social structure of case law.
