LEGO Game Proposal
Project Name: Life Story Cinema (Undecided)
- What is the real life experience that you want to embedded in your lego game?
I want to combine the experience of watching movies and experiencing life together, for there’s a saying that when people are near death, they will review their whole life just like a complete movie. When it comes to a game world, there is no need for people to go to death to watch their life story, and they can even make choices to change the life movie’s script. I want this game to imitate different kinds of lives so that everyone can fit in with one track. (A really ideal situation, I may only make the typical choices in this small demo game)
- What is the creative game experience reflecting the real life experience?
To make this game more humorous or meaningful, I also design the ending as: the players found when they are making choices to decide the cinema characters’ life, they are actually the characters themselves: outside of the cinema, there are more players that are playing this “Life Story Cinema” game. I want to express a feeling of when you think that you are controlling a game, you may just be a character that has been controlled by other players at higher levels. I think this idea also reflects the experience of playing games. What if the characters in the game that you play really have consciousness? What would they think if they realize that they are not free but have always been arranged by players?
- Documentation part of the 1st week development.
I’ve created the initial three stations of one person’s life, which is not that interactive, so I do need the advice of this part.
I also create the surprising scene (about the player behind the player), but haven’t figured out how to transfer the scene in a LEGO game.
(It’s a pity that people cannot get touch with this scene in the Demo)
