Diptych Concept

1. What is the overall concept for the Diptych? What are you trying to convey?

I plan to design my Diptych into the theme of “Spring in Pandemic”. I want to express the special quality of this special period, including the birth and the death.

2. For the Diptych project, one cannot exist without the other. i.e. The existence of both images complete the project. One is only a partial information. What kind of conversation do the two images create and assist each other to convey the concept together? 

I will use the photograph to show the sense of birth and vitality of the Spring, then I will use photoshop to change the color of the Spring image, also add on some other shapes, such as the flower as a mask, showing how pandemic ruin people’s lives, and make people cannot enjoy the Spring sunny days, thus creating the contradiction between two pictures.

3. What image(s) do you plan to take photos? 

A girl admires the flowers, and the background is full of sunshine and green grass.

4. How do you plan to manipulate the image(s) using Photoshop?

I will turn the light color of Spring into a more dark side, and also use the flower to cover the girl’s face and the leaves that form a web binding the girl.
