Vice Dean, Dr. Gbenga Ogedegbe is Awarded a 2015-2016 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Faculty Award

Our Vice Dean, Dr. Gbenga Ogedegbe, was honored on Tuesday by NYU Provost David McLaughlin, as a recipient of the 2015-2016 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Faculty Award.  This award is given to faculty who embody the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through teaching excellence, leadership, social justice activism, and community building. Dr. Ogedegbe routinely reminds his students – and himself – of Dr. King’s quote: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’ ” And in doing so, he inspires all of us to do the same. See APHA coverage of the event in Newsmakers.
