Patricia has managed numerous projects of varying scale and complexity over 20 years of experience and almost a decade of experience in academia. Throughout her career as a Structural Engineer, she has been responsible for coordinating all aspects of building projects. As a Project Manager for Weidlinger Associates (now part of Thornton Tomasetti) she was responsible for the investigation, coordination and structural design for the modernization of the United Nations at the General Assembly and the Conference Building in addition to extensive experience on Port Authority of NY&NJ projects and Hudson River Park Development. In 2014, she founded PAR Engineering PLLC, a Disadvantaged, Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (D/M/WBE) providing structural engineering services. Patricia is a licensed P.E. in New York and New Jersey and a member of SEAoNY (Structural Engineers Association of New York), AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) and ACI (American Concrete Institute). In 2019, she became a member of the PE Civil Exam committee for NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying). Patricia currently teaches at New York University Tandon School of Engineering in the Civil and Urban Engineering Department and has also taught at New York City College of Technology in the Construction Management & Civil Engineering Technology Department. |
