Her research with Adivasi and Roma communities in India and Romania spans over six years, to create “a rare and excellent repository covering marginalization, racialization, [and] feminist theories of power.” As a professor and scholar, Dragomir has taught and researched social justice, migration, and the relationship between gender and the environment at several elite universities, including Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Queen Mary University of London.

THE FRIDAY FORUM Special Guest – Hosted by Dr. Joyce Apsel

FEDERICO GAITAN HAIRABEDIAN, HUMAN RIGHTS LAWYER

Mr. Hairabedian

HUMAN RIGHTS AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE IN ARGENTINA:
The Prosecution of Crimes Against Humanity
during 1976-1983 in Local Courts
SINCE 2003 MORE THAN PERPETRATORS WERE PROSECUTED AND CONVICTED IN FAIR TRIALS according to the Constitution and international human rights standards. These historic human right claims were turned into official state policies, contributing to positioning Argentina at the international human rights avant garde — delivering justice not only to victims of crimes committed in Argentina, but to other historic people´s claims of justice and fight against impunity like Armenian Genocide and Franquism crimes.

“Unemployment doesn’t harm only the unemployed but also their children and families. The social and economic costs of unemployment spread throughout society in destructive ways, like an infectious disease.
