SUN, Qi Ph.D.
I received my M.Edu degree in Psychology from Zhejiang Normal University (Zhejiang, China) and received a Ph.D. degree at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). I have examined how human beings use the visual information which is previously and currently presented to perceive the instantaneous direction of self-motion (heading) and the neural basis of heading discrimination with psychophysical methods, visual reality, and brain imaging techniques (e.g., fMRI). I am now a lecturer of psychology at Zhejiang Normal University.
I worked in Game Industry before I moved on to Cognitive Psychology. My research focused on the impact of playing action video games and sports on the sensorimotor system and the development of cognitive training tools to compensate for neurodegeneration in brain-damaged patients. I am now an assistant professor of Psychology at United International College in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China.
YUAN, Xinyi Mphil
I received my B.S. degree in Applied Psychology from South China Normal University in 2017 and got a master’s degree in the PA lab with Prof. Li as my supervisor. My research focused on postural sway signal as an indicator of visually induced motion sickness in virtual reality.
SUN, Wei Research Associate
I received my Bachelor of Engineering degree from East China University of Science and Technology. I am currently a Ph.D. student at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, working as a part-time research associate in the PA lab. My research interests include computer vision, image/video quality assessment, and Virtual Reality. I’m particularly interested in how to improve the Quality of Experience (QoE) in the VR system.
ZHU, Zhenyu Research Associate
I joined the PA lab as an undergraduate from NYU Shanghai and continued as a research associate after graduation with a B.S degree in neuroscience. I’m interested in human perception, motor control, and computational modeling in neuroscience. I am now a Ph.D. student in the Department of Cognitive, Linguistic, and Psychological Sciences at Brown University.
LIANG, Chenyu Research Associate Email: cl4167@nyu.edu
I received my B.S. degree in Biotechnology and B.E. degree in software engineering (second major) from Shandong University in 2013. Then I got my master’s degree in applied psychology from East China Normal University in 2016. I am interested in cognitive psychology and research work.
Hi! I’m Cindy, an undergraduate student from the University of Hong Kong, double majoring in Psychology and Cognitive Science. The complexity of human behavior always fascinates me. And vision, the most essential perception channel of humans to the external world, is what I am particularly interested in. I was fortunate enough to be a summer intern in this lab.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Washington-Seattle in 2018. I decided to study psychology to better introspect myself and to serve our society by promoting the awareness of mental health. My research interests broadly include psychophysics, psychopathology, health psychology, and interpersonal relationship.
