Enhanced Applicant Search Experience 

New! Effective 4/23, when you initiate the Hire transaction, you will see a “Search for Person” side panel, allowing you to search for an applicant record by name, date of birth, personal contact information, national IDs, and previous role details.

Please review the new help text at the top of the hire transaction and new guidelines in the hire tip sheets. (To view a hire tip sheet, go to the PeopleSync training site and select the employee category at the top and then select a hire tip sheet).

The hire tip sheet links to Search for Applicant or Create New Applicant, also posted on the PeopleSync Operations page.

Reminder: AMI Pool Capture Date is 4/30/2025

The FY26 Annual Merit Increase process is not yet approved, but we are preparing in advance. Please note the following deadlines:

  • Complete all salary-related transactions in PeopleSync if they are effective on or before April 30 (Pool Capture Date).
  • Ensure updates are finalized by end of business on April 29 to maintain accurate merit pools.

Submit FY26 AMI Notification Letterheads and Signatures by 4/24/25

The FY2026 Annual Merit Increase (AMI) program approval is still pending, but we are preparing in advance. Please submit your unit’s letterheads and signatures and update employee names and titles in PeopleSync (if necessary) by 4/24 to ensure the accuracy of AMI letters. How to Schedule the Performance Communication Process

New this year for participating schools or units,submit a PeopleLink ticket to ESM in order to launch the performance review process. The ticket should be submitted at least three business days prior to the launch date. Refer to the post on the HRO Community blog.

Report Enhancement: My Team’s Reported Time

The My Team’s Reported Time report, available to Managers and Timesheet Approvers on the Time and Absence dashboard under Time Tracking Tasks, has been updated to expand the Position field into two separate columns (Position ID and Position Title). Additionally, a new column has been added for Timesheet Approver.

Updated Tip Sheet – Hire

Ticket Spotlight

Where can I find the history of a position – i.e. who approved it? When was it created?

Every position* has a history of transactions. You can click on the position restriction, then Business Process History to review the associated events and processes. (*Note: the term position applies to Admin/Professionals, Staff, and FT Faculty.)

  1. Search for the position #.
  2. In the results, click on the link labeled “position restriction”.
  3. Click on the Business Process History tab.
  4. Scroll down – in the Business Process column find the “Create Position…” event.
  5. Click on the Process tab.
    • From here, you can view who initiated and approved the position.

How long will it take for the finalist’s applicant record to show up in PeopleSync? 

  • iCIMS: For a candidate in iCIMS placed under the Sent to PeopleSync status, the applicant record will appear in PeopleSync within one hour.  
  • Interfolio: Once a candidate in Interfolio is assigned the Finalist – Hired status, the applicant record will appear in PeopleSync by the next day.
