travel and expense and peopleSync (WSQ OnlY)

Travel & Expense (Concur) launches on 10/30. Refer to the post on the HR Community blog and the updated Organization Support Role Descriptions tip sheet. The approver of an employee’s requests in Concur is the manager as assigned in PeopleSync. If the approver should be someone other than the manager, assign the new Concur Travel and Expense Approver role.
 

Enhancements to retirement in peopleSync (WSQ)

Refer to the updated Retirement in PeopleSync tip sheet and the HRO Community blog post about important changes to retirement transactions. These enhancements allow us to better maintain 3rd party vendor integrations, ensuring continued benefits, as applicable:
  • HR can now terminate retired-active employees. Previously we had advised HR to use the End Job transaction however HR can now process a termination by selecting the new reason – “Terminate– Post Retirement”
  • When rehiring a retired employee, select the reason “Hire – Post Retirement”

In October NYU launched the new NYU Services Support Center. Please begin using these updated links for the following type of requests. Note the appointment forms are used only by schools or units participating in our Shared Services program.

ending old student jobs (wsq only)

Our annual EIB to mass-end old non-primary hourly student jobs was uploaded on 10/12. This ended over 9,000 jobs with an End Employment Date of 5/31/2022 or earlier. We encourage you to end student jobs in a timely manner using the End Additional Job transaction or by submitting an EIB.
 

reminder on employees with missing ss# (WSQ Only)

PeopleSync sends a reminder email to employees with missing SS# to complete this field. Note the email has been updated to include separate instructions for students and regular employees.

how is the probationary period set for new employees in peoplesync?

For new hires an integration runs which automatically calculates the probationary period for Admin/Professionals and Staff. HR Analysts and HR Partners receive an alert from PeopleSync to remind you of an upcoming probationary end date.
