Manage PeopleSync Email Notifications

The purpose of this tip sheet is to help you manage your PeopleSync email notifications that link your PeopleSync MyTasks to your NYU email account. By linking your PeopleSync Inbox to your NYU email account, you can choose whether or not to receive an email, generated by PeopleSync, when a notification is generated. You will receive all notifications in PeopleSync, regardless of the email notification preferences selected.

There are four types of notifications in PeopleSync:

  • Approvals
  • Custom Business Process Notifications
  • Tasks
  • To-Dos

For each of these types of notifications, you can select how often you would like to receive an email to your NYU Email Account. Follow the steps below to set your preferences.

Steps

  1. Login to PeopleSync
  2. Select the Cloud icon in the upper right corner. 
  3. Select My Account > Change Preferences 
  4. The Change Preferences Page is displayed. Scroll to the Channel section. Notice it defaults to the “Email” on the left side menu.
  5. For each Notification Type, select the Frequency:
    • Daily: sends a consolidated list once a day at 6 AM EST with any / all notification types to be include 
    • Immediately: sends an email immediately for each notification type.  
    • Mute: sends no notification to your email.
  6. The email address for the PeopleSync notifications defaults to your NYU email address.
  7. Click OK to submit.
