Manage Business Processes for Worker

When an employee goes on leave, changes jobs, or separates from NYU, it may be necessary for the HR Analyst or HR Partner to reassign any outstanding business processes that had been previously assigned to the employee, or the employee is having done to them.

The Manage Business Processes for Worker process may be initiated by the following roles:

  • HR Analyst
  • HR Partner

You may receive the task to Manage Business Processes for Worker in the following processes:

  • Change Job
  • Termination
  • Place Employee on Leave

Steps

  1. Open the Manage Business Processes for Worker task in your MyTasks.
  2. On the Manage Business Processes for Worker page, you will see a list of all outstanding tasks that are currently assigned to the employee.
  3. Use the Action column to designate that you wish to Reassign the task.
  4. Once you have selected the action to Reassign the task, the Reassign To field opens.
  5. Use the dialogue box icon to designate a delegate to complete the task.
    • The delegates are grouped by organization support role to help you reassign the task more easily. You can also search by employee name.
    • You may only reassign tasks to an employee who also has the security access to complete the task.
  6. Click Submit.
