Welcome to PeopleSync Training

The PeopleSync Resources & Training website provides a wide range of knowledge on PeopleSync from basic human capital management (HCM) concepts to advanced business processes. Here you can find material on everything from workday terminology and navigation, to compensation and payment fundamentals, and staffing transactions. This includes create position, hire, edit job, change job, add job, transfer, promote, request compensation change, add additional compensation, assign costing allocations, change timesheet approvers, request leave of absence and more.
 

Learning objectives

 
Our goals are two-fold.
 
We’re ensuring that the HR and Finance community gains a strong understanding of PeopleSync and can effectively use the system to support key HR processes.
  • Most tip sheets include step-by-step instructions and provide an overview of the transaction, roles, routing, and approval steps, as well as field descriptions.
  • Tip sheets are organized by major employee categories (for example, Full Time Faculty, Administrative/ Professionals, Staff, Professional Researchers, Adjuncts and Student Employees). Each of these main pages is subdivided by employee lifecycle (for example, Create/Post Position, Hire, Edit Personal Information, Edit Job, Change Job, Change Compensation, and Terminate) so that you can quickly locate and apply the training.
  • We’ve also included tip sheets for specific HR roles such as Benefits, Payroll, etc. There’s also a section for new users and refresher training.
 
We will continue to develop this system and will facilitate ongoing learning, keeping users up to date on the latest PeopleSync enhancements. Throughout these pages you’ll find updated information on workday upgrades, changes to business processes, new transactions, fields and reports, as well as access to the latest classroom trainings.
