In-Service: Pediatric Adaptive Apparel

The transition from adult to pediatric therapy initiated a desire to learn more about the pediatric side of adaptive apparel. I gained the confidence to work with families by obtaining my Illinois Early Intervention Credential. This laid the foundation for understanding how to approach clients and fellow clinicians about adaptive apparel. Despite being a newer pediatric occupational therapist, I wanted to make sure that I supported my in-service presentation with evidence and examples that can be applied to practice. Below is the in-service presentation I presented to the occupational therapy team at my clinic. I also gathered feedback from my colleagues and supervisor regarding the content presented, my presentation skills, and their interests in adaptive apparel through an online survey.
