CAOS – or the Center for Atmosphere-Ocean Science is a graduate program at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU. It is a multi-disciplinary program between applied mathematics and atmospheric and oceanic sciences.

Two weeks ago, we had the review for the Center for Prototype Climate Modeling in Abu Dhabi. This was the first time that all PI’s, co-PI’s, scientists, postdocs and staff were all together at the same location.

CPCM Group A

After starting from scratch four years ago, CPCM has evolved into a pretty nice research group on a broad range of topics, from moist convection, to biogeochemestry to global circulation (and, of course, entropy!).
