New York WILD Film Festival and New York University present the
WILD in New York
Student Film Contest
One of New York City’s premiere film festivals, the New York WILD Film Festival showcases documentaries about exploration, adventure, wildlife, conservation, and the environment at the renowned Explorers Club and on NYU’s NYC and Shanghai campuses.
The New York WILD Film Festival is delighted to continue its third year partnership with NYU and NYU Shanghai. NY WILD and NYU faculty from multiple schools (Animal Studies and Environmental Sciences, Journalism, Tisch and Media, Culture and History) collaborate to create a film festival program that includes screening films about exploration, adventure, wildlife, conservation and the environment, including Q & A with renowned filmmakers and experts.
“Inspiring the young future leaders of our planet is a vital part of NY WILD and NYU’s mission” says Founder, Nancy Rosenthal.
It’s simple: make a 2-5 minute film about something you find WILD in New York and you could win a Moondog Labs 12.5 mm threaded anamorphic lens and a case along with an adapter lens mount and other great prizes. Whether it’s turtles in Central Park, surfers in Rockaways, pigeons, rooftop farming, or cockroaches… Get your phone, shoot some footage, create a story and capture your “WILD” in New York.
