Review:
If anyone ever asks me “where is the best Thai food in Manhattan?”, I would definitely say “Wondee Siam”. I first discovered this restaurant because it’s close to my house. I went there to try without having a high expectation because I know it is hard to find authentic Thai food in Western country like America.
However, I was totally wrong! Every dish was very delicious. The taste was the same as the food in Thailand. Some of them were even better than some restaurants in Thailand. I was really surprised and fell in love with this place right away.
My favorite dish is crispy pork with basil. It is spicy and sweet and it is just perfect to eat it with jasmine rice. Another recommendation is Pad Thai. If you want to taste the real Pad Thai, this is the must-try menu and I guarantee that it is the best in town!
If you are on budget and looking for cheap food, go have lunch at 11am – 3pm on the weekdays because they have lunch special which is only $8.95 and a main dish comes with spring roll and salad. What a deal!
One thing I don’t like about Wondee is that it is a very small restaurant and it is always crowded. However, the service is great. Actually, there is another branch nearby called “Wondee Siam 2” which is bigger, but for some reasons, I just love the original one better.

It’s so mouth watering when reading the review. Really missed “Somtum Kapi” there, Wondee is one of the reasons that made me want to go to New York again.

Best Thai food in NYC. The taste is very authentic. The service is great and the staffs are very helpful and friendly. Reasonable price and good quality dishes. Could not recommend this place enough.
Wondee Siam is really a hidden gem in NYC. Authentic taste and great service. Crispy Pork Basil is one of my favorite dish now. You guys should try.
far from being a typical Thai restaurant – Wondee Siam is haute Thai to the hilt, with a taste that will make you heavenly satisfied.
for those who live in the Big Apple City – you should have wondee siam on your list and you will be jubilant giving it a try!
just remember, if you opt for ‘mango with sticky rice’ make sure to reseve it in prior to you reservation 🙂
I really love the menu called ‘Miang Kana’. It’s the best Miang Kana I’ve ever tried in my life. I’m not joking!
