I was taken with his concept of transforming a candle into a light stand. While this may initially appear unnecessary, I think this product possesses a unique aesthetic charm. By using a  wine colored glass surface around the candle spot, it presents the atmosphere which a traditional candle alone cannot achieve. This innovation enables the candle enthusiasts to enjoy the scent of a classic candle while simultaneously basking in the modern and gourmet elements it expresses. As he mentioned, “The smallest of lights can also be the greatest…”.

MISS LESS (KARTELL)

 

 

In my personal opinion, this design doesn’t seem particularly well-suited for practical usage. While it might find its place in specific settings like art exhibitions, it tends to impart a rather uncomfortable and rigid impression when considered as a piece of furniture. Furthermore, it also doesn’t appear to align with the principles of democratic design that the artist himself, Philippe Starck, supports.
