In this project, we explored the reflection of the Moving Head Spot Light illuminating different materials. We tried reflective materials including laser paper, Color transparent paper and mirror paper. We creased them and attached them to the mirror. Then, use the spotlight to illuminate them.
We discovered that bending the material can reflect a smooth shadow and creases can create shadows like thunder. When the spotlight is rotating, the shadow shape can flicker.
We put this project in an empty room, so the whole room could be the canvas for the shadows.
