Description of building circuits
The first circuit I built in the lab was the Fade. Actually, I think it was a basic circuit, so it was not difficult for me to build this on the bread board. After building the circuit, I began to find the program. At first, when I had downloaded the program to the circuit, it didn’t work. After checking, I found that the problem was that the USB-C got a loose connection with the computer. Then, having solved the problem, the program worked smoothly—the light was fading. What’s more, I wanted to change the rate and speed of fading, so I altered the number of “delay” to the 50 and 10. They all turned out different rates.
And the second circuit was tone Melody, which could let the buzzer sang a melody. Same as the first circuit, there was no difficulty to build the circuit and download the program. Everything went smoothly. Also, I changed some combinations for melody that finally be played by the buzzer.
Then, I started the last one which was also the most complex one— Speed Game. In the circuit, there were many elements and I think it was composed by two circuits in the relationship of the parallel connection. So the degree of difficulty rose a lot. As a result, I built the circuit step by step. First, I worked through the whole circuit, and then I began to put different elements on the breadboard without connecting them with files. After that, following the example circuit, I began to connect files. With help of my partner, I finally finished the circuit. So, during the whole process, I found it would be faster and easier to divide the circuit into different parts to build.
And here is the pic of the third circuit.
Q1: The change of button I think can be adding sound sensors beside the both button. While pressing the button, players should say “hi!” so that these two actors can be a step. I think it is more interactive because the sound sensor and the button is in a parallel connection. As this picture mentioned in the passage, the parallel connection will be more complex and interactive than the series connection.
Q2: To ensure we always read low when the button is not pressed.
Q3: I choose the invention of the watch made by the trash. The inventors use abandoned computer main boards, phone’s microchips and cables in TV to make a special and environmental watch. I choose this as the inventors just turn the existing things to the thing that isn’t exist in the world by using the trash and work it by programming.
