Recitation 8: Serial Communication
Exercise 1: Make a Processing Etch A Sketch
In Exercise 1, I used two potentiometers to be the two variables and transferred the data to Processing. The first refers to the x-position and the second refers to the y-position. The interaction appears to be fancy and appealing with lines or ellipses.

Exercise 2: Make a musical instrument with Arduino
Exercise 2 is about sending multiple vales from Processing to Arduino. At first, I had some problems with the values got from the mouse’s x and y positions so there was no sound. But, I finally figured it out and succeeded in sending data.

The connection between Processing and Arduino is interesting and inspiring for our projects. Since with both of them, we can do a lot more work with both software and hardware. Compared to our midterm projects, now we can create some wonderful visual and sound effects to attract the viewers more.
