Concept
Briefly describe the memory you have chosen for the assignment. Which aspect of the memory (actual sounds, feelings, ideas, etc.) did you aim to convey to your audience? Discuss the thought process that brought you to the composition of your soundscape.
The memory is a nightmare that I can see only something very dim. I can feel someone follow me. And suddenly I notice that I am in a marsh, and I want to get out of it but fail. Someone holds my head under the marsh that I can hardly breath. I struggle but then I am held again. Finally, I go out of the marsh. There comes a car crash me when I just land. Then I wake up.
I aim to convey feelings that I am confused and scared since I can hear some sound but I am in a dim so that I don’t know whether there will something popping up. What I also want to show is the environment sound. Like the strong and weak of the clock’s tick shows whether I fall asleep or not. Or the birds voice means I get rid of the nightmare and the reality makes me relaxed. And the phone and door sounds mean that reality is another “nightmare” where you have many problems waiting for you to deal with. To sum up, the thought process is awake, asleep and awake.
