VM Proposal
We intend to invite some of our friends, students at NYUSH, to be our actors and/or narrators. We may also use some online audio sources- clock sound effects, alarm clock, etc. As can be seen in the storyboard, the story of this video will be the story of a student driven tired of their repetitive life, having no motivation or anything to look forward to. The story has four parts, the first three of which are similar descriptions of the above-mentioned repetitive life. We will focus on this repeated life routine, making each repetition subtly different, seeming more and more depressing, and the student growing increasing frustrated. In the fourth and final part, the student will break down and there will be an open ending. We intend to express this change or degradation of the daily experience of the student by altering the camera angles and lighting throughout the three repetitions, taking shots that make certain people or objects seem menacing and reducing the brightness in the second and third repetitions.
