The Veldt:  A soft robot whose shape changes by touching and shaping by the operator’s hands. Existing technology:Lego Robot , which is built up by the operator and its shape can be changed . New problems: how can the robot work, as its shape is changed?

The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas:A set of screens and cameras that can tell people whether they are happy or not by observing other people in the same area. The device can analyze other people’s face and tell which type of emotion are they in. Existing technology: polygraph New problems: How to analyze the facial expression precisely?

The Plague: Micro sensors that can exaggerate the movement of people and detect what they want to express, which can help people who suffer from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Existing technology: Eye-controlled machines, like the one Stephen Hawking once used. New problems: it may be hard for the users to control the machine to express what they exactly want to do.
