Final Project: Three Project Proposals
Project A: Quick Quiz Combat
The project is originated from the famous online quiz website Kahoot!. Questions are shown on the screen, and the players need to answer the questions by moving different parts of their bodies. Players have ten hearts at the beginning, and when one player gives wrong answer or givs the answer after another player does, he/she will lose one heart. Player wins if another player has lost all his/her heart or he/she has more heart when 10 questions have been given. This project is interactive and innovative because audiences are asked to use both their arms and feet to be involved in a quiz, they can exercise both their minds and bodies.
Project B: Music Balance Board
The project is originated from the popular toy see-saw. As see-saw takes up too much space, I modify it and replace it with a balance board, which can be played by one person and is also a great fun. The player should stand on the balance board and ratate it to change the tone of the music, and try to play some songs. The music will be visualized on the screen. This artifact will be physical-engaging and interactive, which fits the requirement of the final project.
Project C: Redlight, Greenlight competition
This project is originated from the prevalent game for children: redlight, greenlight. The rule of the game is the same as the tradational version, but the players should stand on a mat with sensors and try to stamp as quickly as possible to control the figures on the screen to move. The background music will also interact with the players. The project can make audience deeply engaged because they need to pay attention to the color of the light on the screen while stamping on their feet as quickly as possible.
