The authenticity and representation of the truth is definitely an important part in the media, and should be the most important thing if the content is related to news. The broadcast is important for its immediacy, which means the audience is listening to the unedited version of voice, so the broadcast becomes a more reliable source.

In recent years, the rapid development of technology has given more possibilities for the media to be fake, and people are sort of entering the “post-truth” era, which means the truth is still of great importance, but becomes harder to tell. For me, I believe it is still important for us to ensure some of the sources are absolutely reliable. The mission of a story is to be entertaining and inspiring, but the mission of a piece of news is to tell the truth. There have to be a difference.
