I chose the song “Kodu Desu”(“hollow me”) for my sound visualization project because it has a very strong rhythm and a unique melody.
This psychedelic rock song gives me a strong feeling of void and trance, which I really want to express through this project.

I used a lot of “O” and combine these letters together to form a pattern with the feeling of a “hole”. And I put other letters to create a sense that they are gradually drawn into the holes.
The black “O”s is interacting with the strong beat in the song, also to make the visual more striking. As for the background, I used the outline of the letters and utilized different weights of the lines to add more dimension to the image.
At the margins of the “O”s, I tried to bring the same letter like “T”, “I”, and “U” together in an arc to make it a unified pattern.
Altogether, I hope the whole visualization can convey to the viewers an unstable, psychedelic feeling just like the song.
