Initially, I created four frames for this assignment, and the theme that runs through the four is “wave”.
I continued this theme in the first final piece. I used several curved shapes to create a sense of floating water and waves, but I believe the shapes can be understood as many other objects or feelings.
For the second one, I wanted to use a different approach. So I changed the way I cut the black square, to make it sharper instead of round and curved. And this can bring the work a different sense. I put a lot of fragmentary rectangles and some irregular shapes together. Together, they can make up some figures. But also there is coherence between the two pieces.
